The Setting

A true destination for outdoorsmen and women, Brush Creek Ranch is an Orvis Dual-Endorsed Lodge for Fly Fishing and Wingshooting. Offering some of the finest and most beautiful bird hunting experiences in North America, this all-inclusive luxury resort is located in south-central Wyoming on 30,000 pristine, private acres. The Ranch is positioned at the headwaters of the North Platte River, fed by snowmelt from the neighboring Snowy Mountain Range and Sierra Madre Range. From steep rocky canyons to flat rolling sagebrush hills, and everything in between, even the most traveled sportsmen and women seldom get to experience such a variety of landscapes and hunting scenarios within a single destination. Our Orvis-certified guides will outfit you with top-of-the-line gear and know-how, while the Wyoming countryside provides the views and memories that will last a lifetime.

Enhance your stay with a wingshooting adventure at any of our four locations: Lodge & Spa – main, family-friendly resort, Magee Homestead – adults-only wellness resort, French Creek – remote, intimate property ideal for fishing and hunting, and Platte Canyon Glamping – riverside tents and luxury yurt.

The Shooting

Spend the day on a quality hunt with highly trained pointing and flushing dogs. Hunt pheasant, chukar, and Hungarian partridge with experienced guides, surrounded by an incredible Wyoming landscape.

Tailor your sporting experience to your preferences, whether upland bird hunts, waterfowl hunts, big game hunts, shooting sports, or all of the above. Allow our elite team of outfitters to guide you on an unforgettable hunt through 30,000 acres of sporting paradise.

Upland Bird Hunts
Experience a fully guided and outfitted day in the field across 30,000 private acres of wooded river basins, lush meadowlands, and high deserts that make up our carefully managed bird habitat. Our professional guides specialize in wingshooting for a mixed bag of upland birds (Pheasant, Chukar, Hungarian Partridge). Our team of over 20 highly trained pointer and flushing dogs will assist you in your pursuit of birds across our historic ranchlands.

Waterfowl Hunts
Our waterfowl hunting trips are conducted on private lands that are scouted and managed for your success. The North Platte River, warm water sloughs, ponds along the Encampment River, and vast hay meadows throughout the Ranch attract both roosting and feeding waterfowl. We supply top of-the-line decoys, well-trained labs, shotguns, shells, waders, and everything else you could possibly need for your hunt. All you have to do is show up and take ’em all.

Our dedicated guides and water dogs will put you on unpressured ponds, creeks, fields, and river scenarios on the far Western edge of the Central Flyway, where there will be enough local ducks and geese to make for an excellent morning in a duck blind.

Driven Hunts
The classic hunting traditions of England and Scotland meet the modern spirit of the American West to combine for a wingshooting experience not found anywhere else in the world. Rooted in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, this traditional method of wingshooting— once only offered in Europe— is now exclusively available at our luxury hunting ranch. With an elevation of 7,500 ft., guests can expect to traverse moderate terrain bearing sagebrush, hay meadows, aspens, pines, cottonwoods, and willow bottoms. Our Fall weather varies, yet is mostly mild with high temperatures in the 60’s and low temperatures in the 40’s.
